Frequently Asked Questions

General

Well, it all starts with the cyberpunk theme. Blizzie has a strong affinity for the aesthetic of dystopian futures and technology, so she knew she wanted to do something along that idea when the business was starting to come together. Another thing that we thought would be appropriate would be to keep with the cold/ice theme that we have used in the past.

After tossing dozens of ideas out to one another (including ‘Frosty Fursuits’, ‘Frozen Furs’, ‘CryoFur Studios’, and others), we settled on Cryopunk as it covered both themes that Blizzie was looking for. Cryo, short for cryogenics, and punk, the (cyberpunk) aesthetic.

We’re still getting a feel of it and things may change around, but for now, we’re happy with the company name.

Here’s a list of what we have:

  • Two Brother Embroidery Machines (one 9-needle, one 1-needle)
  • Four 3D Printers (two ANYCUBIC Photons, one modified Ender5, one Bambu Lab X1-Carbon)
  • Half-Sheet Laser Engraver
  • 36″ Vinyl Plotter
  • Silhouette Curio
  • 12″ Hot Laminator
  • 10-in-1 MIG/TIG/Plasma Welder & Cutter
  • Degas Chamber, Vacuum Pump, Pressure Pot, Air Compressor

And a list of what we are in the process of acquiring:

  • A3 UV Printer – purchased, shipped, awaiting receipt

We are excited to announce a significant development at Cryopunk Fursuits that marks a new chapter in our journey. Recently, we acquired the inventory, designs, and manufacturing equipment previously belonging to “Bardic Beastiary,” a well-respected fursuit production studio.

It’s important to clarify that while we now own the rights to manufacture and distribute their designs, we want to emphasize that we do not claim ownership of the designs themselves. Furthermore, we want to make it unequivocally clear that Cryopunk Fursuits is an entirely separate and independent entity from Bardic Beastiary. We have no other affiliations with them beyond the equipment and design production rights acquisition.

We look forward to continuing our commitment to crafting high-quality, unique fursuits and serving the vibrant furry community with the same dedication and passion that has always defined Cryopunk Fursuits.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we embark on this exciting new phase of our journey. Stay tuned for more updates and exciting creations from Cryopunk Fursuits!

Fursuits

Suits depend on the level of detail, amount of colors, and responsiveness of the buyer.

A head typically takes about 80 hours for medium detail with 4-5 colors.

A full suit can easily take 150+ hours. We will be timing ourselves during production to have a more accurate timeframe and so we can appropriately price our work.

We will be providing a guide in our “How-To Guides” section regarding the maintenance and care of your suit soon.

As of right now, we have no intentions to expand into the adult-oriented market. We can provide referrals to other studios that do, however!

Yes, our suits come with a warranty against defects. We are not responsible for any damage to the suit caused by neglect or improper use.

More information about warranties will be provided soon.

Although we are not currently offering any repair services, when we are more established we will. We will make an announcement on our social media channels when that time comes!

Shipping

Shipping times vary depending on what item is being shipped. Typically, for items in stock, they will ship within 1-3 business days and shipping in the continental US is approximately 4-7 business days.

For custom orders, the average shipping time can vary significantly. We will keep you informed during the entire process (and intend to have a portal for you to check status soon) and we will notify you when the item ships, as well as provide you with tracking information.

We typically ship through the United States Postal Service (USPS), but we also offer UPS and FedEx upon request (or if it is more economical).

All of our items are housed and shipped from Nevada, USA.

Yes, we do! Any shipment over $100 has shipping insurance added automatically and you can request having it added to any other shipment in the comments.
